Coming to NC State and majoring in Education and Psychology has assured me becoming a teacher is what I want to do. It was great to live with all first-year students because we were all experiencing similar feelings of excitement and stress and accomplishment together. Living on campus is extremely convenient, and I was able to be in the middle of all activities and events going on around campus. I loved being able to live with all of my friends.

I’ve played tenor saxophone in the “Power Sound of the South,” the NC State Marching Band, since my freshman year and have loved every minute of it. Being in band allows you to meet people with different majors and interesting backgrounds, and also takes you to some pretty cool places.
